Microfiche and Microfilm Conversion

We can address all of your needs to digitize the images from your microfilm, microfiche or aperture cards. We use state-of-the-art technology and highly trained and experienced staff to convert the filmed images of your records into indexed and electronically retrievable pages in the format of your preference: Tiff, PDF, etc.

Our process is geared to the quality, condition and consistency of the microfilm or microfiche, which determines the extent of manual attendance and intervention necessary to give you the best possible results.

There are a number of factors that can affect the price of this service, including:

  • Scanning Density - 200, 300, 400, 500 or 600 dpi
  • Image Cropping
  • Image De-skewing
  • Image Rotation - automatic or manual
  • Indexing using Barcodes
  • Indexing by using an existing database
  • Sequential numbering of images
  • OCR (Optical Character recognition for in-context searches)
  • Grayscale for higher image quality
  • Image Enhancement options

The output can be in one of many forms and can be deployed over your network, retained on CD/ROM media, deployed over the Internet or imported into your existing records management system.

Our staff is available to advise you as to the most cost-effective options for you. Firm price quotes are based upon the “no-charge” processing of a "representative" sample.
